Rustica tobacco is a good garden ally, its round yellow-green flowers attracts beneficial insects and can be used as an organic pesticide due to its high nicotine content. This variety has been a gift passed between generations. It originated in South America (Andes) and has spread widely even as far as Vietnam and Russia. Rustica is prized for its ability to grow well in cool climates, rapidly producing stout 3-ft tall plants.
