This Cadillac red oblate beauty produces large yields on stout plants. From our drought trials, American Idol has proven to be a high yielding determinate tomato with great flavor. Its flattened oblate shape hosts a red beefsteak tomato that produces 1/2 lb fruits. It has great “tomatoey” flavor and resists blossom end rot and cracking even with infrequent watering. Twenty years of breeding went into this variety by Seed Revolution Now, including being grown under dry farmed conditions and it shows. This delicious, classic heirloom tomato was a hit at our farmers markets. Determinate growth habit. Good choice for high altitude gardeners. 80 days to maturity.
