Ayerwaddy Delta Winter Squash

$4.00

Cucurbita maxima

Hokkaido Type | Long Shelf Life | 105 Days to Maturity

We are thrilled to offer this unique and incredibly delicious squash collected by the late Colorado seed keeper, Anpetu Oihankesni, in the rich alluvial deposits of the Ayerwaddy Delta of Burma (now known as Myanmar). It miraculously does well in our high-altitude region producing masses of vigorous sprawling vines. These very long-storing teardrop-shaped fruits are deep green with slight ribs, warts, and patterns like the islands and sandbars of its namesake. Produces 3-4 fruits with rich, sweet, and semi-moist flesh.
