Heirloom. Tender butterhead that blushes pink to brown-bronze with good blanching in the center. Frank Morton of Wild Garden Seed kept this Canadian heirloom from near extinction. We loved it for its tender succulent leaves and ability to hold in the field over a long period. Can be harvested at any stage. Produces large dense heads at full maturity.
