Zea mays
This incredibly beautiful multi-colored and rich-tasting popcorn population was shared with us by Don Tipping of Siskiyou Seeds in Oregon. They grew it from the old Cochiti Pueblo strain from New Mexico and then crossed it with 4 other varieties. Since then it has been selected for early maturity, large ear size, and multiple ears per plant. We have continued this selection work here in Western Colorado and have found it to be very early maturing and delicious.
