Salvia coccinea
It’s probably clear by now we have an affinity for salvias! They are beautiful, hardy, long blooming, and beloved by hummingbirds and attractors of other garden pollinators. The coral nymph is no exception. It is hardy but delicate with its light pink tubular flowers with double lobbed coral lips. It makes a fantastic addition to the cutting garden adding texture and a slightly anise sent any bouquet. Deer resistant. Plant at 12-14”. Perennial but in our climate should be grown as an annual.
