Very large red sweet pepper from Serbia. Smallish plants are loaded with heavy, thick walled peppers that seemingly overnight turned to a bright red early in the season. Peppers average 6 inches long by 4 inches wide and are slightly flattened with a pointed tip. Traditionally used in the Balkans to make a dish called ‘ajvar’ which is a roasted red pepper and eggplant dip. Can be dried and ground into a fine paprika powder. Paprika has a complex rich, sweet, and slightly smoky flavor. 90 days to maturity.
